Women’s Golf Opens South Regional in Fourteenth After Round One

CHATTANOOGA, TN – Lincoln Memorial University women's golf opened the NCAA Division II South Regional on Monday at Cleveland Country Club, sitting in a tie for 14th after round one at 24-over par.

The Railsplitters were led by Ruby McLellan, who posted a 4-over 76 to finish the day tied for 23rd. Millie Russell followed at 5-over 77 (T-40), while Dilyara Bulambayeva carded a 7-over 79 (T-60). Reese Rexroat added an 8-over 80 (T-68), and Joy Aspetaki rounded out the day at 10-over 82 (T-86).

Lynn holds the team lead at 6-over, with Wingate and Erskine tied for second at 11-over. With two rounds remaining, Lincoln Memorial will look to make a move up the leaderboard as the regional continues Tuesday and Wednesday in Chattanooga.
