Harrogate, TN - The Lincoln Memorial University women's soccer team and head coach Tasha Flynn have announced the upcoming schedule for the 2024 season.
The upcoming season we will see ten home matches, eight away matches, and one neutral match. Six out of the ten home matches will be South Atlantic Conference matches and will be played at the LMU Lacroose Complex. In the three seasons that Coach Flynn has led the women's soccer team, they have went 12-4-7 at home.
The team will have three exhibition matches. On August 22nd, they will face Lee University (Tenn) at home. They will travel to Danville, KY on August 24 to face Centre College for their second exhibition match. Their final exhibition match will be against King University on August 31st at LMU Lacrosse Complex.
The 2024 season will begin at home on September 7 versus Southern Wesleyan (SC). The SAC schedule will begin with Lenoir-Rhyne on September 14th. Lenoir-Rhyne leads the overall series lead, and LMU is looking for their first win in the series since 2019.
LMU will start the month of September with their season opener against Southern Wesleyan and traveling to Columbus, GA to face Columbia State on September 11. After their away trip, the team will have three straight home games against Lenoir-Rhyne (September 14), University of North Georgia (September 18), and Catawba (September 21). LMU will finish the month by traveling to Coker on September 28th.
To start the month of October, the Lady Railsplitters will face Tusculum on October 2nd and Wingate on October 5th. After Wingate, they will then meet out of state to face Georgia College in Greer, SC at a neutral site. They will then have four straight away games traveling to: Newberry, SC to face Newberry on October 12th; Jefferson City, TN to face Carson-Newman on October 16th; Mars Hill, NC to face Mars Hill on October 20th; and Banner Elk, NC to face Lees-McRae on October 23rd. LMU will finish out the month at home on October 26th to face Anderson University.
To start out November, LMU will travel to Gaffney, SC to face Limestone on November 2nd. The final game of the regular season will be at home versus Emory & Henry on November 6th.
