New Orleans, LA - After strong finishes in the South Atlantic Conference Cross Country Championships over the weekend, the Lincoln Memorial Men's and Women's Cross Country teams find themselves ranked once again in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Regional Rankings. The Women stayed at fifth while the men rose to eighth in the poll.
Both teams finished fourth in the conference championship race to keep their rankings high, as this poll marks the 20th consecutive ranking for the women with 13 straight top five rankings. For the men, they find themselves in the top 10 for the eighth poll in a row, tying a program record which was set last season.
Two runners earned all-conference nods in the championship race, as Jaxson Branham was named first-team all-conference while Weslyn McIntosh earned second-team all-conference honors.
Up next for the Railsplitters is regional championship weekend, as both teams will compete in the Southeast Regional Championships, hosted by Wingate University on Saturday, November 8th.
