Men's Cross Country Gains A Spot In Latest USTFCCCA Poll

New Orleans, LA – After a strong showing at the Bulldog Stampede last Saturday, both the Lincoln Memorial Men's and Women's Cross Country teams are once again ranked in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association regional rankings, with the women placing at fifth while the men jumped to seventh in the poll.

LMU ran competitively in their most recent race, as the women's team finished fourth while the men placed at sixth in the race hosted by Wingate University. The race was the first of two races at the Wingate XC Facility for the Railsplitters this season, as both teams will be back for the Southeast Regional Championships at the end of the season.

The men had been ranked at eighth for three consecutive polls before this one and currently sit one spot below the programs highest ever ranking by the USTFCCCA.

The Railsplitters return to action on Saturday, September 27th with the South Atlantic Conference Preview hosted by Tusculum University, with the race starting at 9 am.
