Top Rankings Continue For Cross Country In Latest USTFCCCA Poll

New Orleans, LA – After both the Lincoln Memorial Men's and Women's Cross Country teams finished in first place at the South Atlantic Conference preview race, the teams kept their ranking in the most recent U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association regional rankings. The women stayed at fifth as the men stayed at seventh.

Each team earned their first top-finish in a race since the opening race of the 2024 season, beating conference competition in their first meet of the year hosted by Tusculum University, as each team will return for the South Atlantic Conference Championship race on October 25th.

This poll marks the 18th-consecutive poll that the women's team has been ranked in the top 10 in the Southeast region, with the women's holding a top five ranking in the 10 most recent polls. For the men, this weeks poll is the fifth that they have been ranked in the top 10, as both teams sit just one place in the rankings behind their highest ever rankings.

The Railsplitters will be off this weekend before competing next in the Charger Invitational on October 11th hosted by the University of Alabama-Huntsville.
