Women's Basketball Hosts #10 Coker Saturday

Harrogate, TN – Lincoln Memorial women's basketball looks to get back in the win column as they host the #10 Coker Cobras Saturday afternoon in Tex Turner Arena at 2 pm. 

Saturday's game will be the first ranked vs ranked match up in the regular season, the first in Tex Turner Arena, and third overall ranked vs ranked game in LMU women's basketball history. 

The weekend contest will be the 44th overall meeting between Lincoln Memorial and Coker, with LMU winning the series 15-8. The most recent game between the Lady Railsplitters and the Cobras was last season, in February of 2025 in Hartsville, SC, where LMU fell 53-62. The last time that Lincoln Memorial was victorious over Coker in Harrogate was February of 2023, and Lincoln Memorial came out on top 56-48.

Lincoln Memorial is coming off of their second loss of the season against Carson-Newman on January 14th. Kamil Collier led in both points and rebounds as she secured her tenth double-double of the season with 25 points and 15 rebounds. 

Currently, Collier is leading the team in scoring average with 17 points per game, with Alexa Smiddy and Lexi Patty also scoring double-digits with 12.9 and 12.8 points per game, respectively. Collier is also the team-leader on the boards with 11.1 rebounds per game. 

In the South Atlantic Conference, Collier is leading in double-doubles (10), fourth in field goal percentage (48.7%), fourth in field goals made (91), eighth in free throw percentage (80%), seventh in total points (238), fifth in points per game (17), leading in total rebounds (155), leading in rebounds per game (11.1), leading in defensive rebounds per game (7.8), and second in offensive rebounds per game (3.3). Smiddy is second in the conference in assist/turnover ratio (1.85), fourth in total assists (50), third in assists per game (3.6),  fifth in three pointers made (27), and fifth in three pointers made per game (1.93). Patty is fifth in the SAC in blocks per game (1), ninth in total blocks (13), and eighth in defensive rebounds per game (4.8). Asia Barr is seventh in the conference in total steals (33), and fourth in steals per game (2.36). Anderson is ninth in total three pointers made (25) and sixth in three pointers made per game (1.79).

Nationally, Collier is fifth in double-doubles, 9th in rebounds per game, and 11th in defensive rebounds per game. 

As a team, Lincoln Memorial is second in the SAC in assist/turnover ratio (1), fourth in field goal percentage (41.4%), fourth in field goal percentage defense (37.4%), fifth in free throws made per game (13.43), fourth in rebound margin (3.6), leading in scoring defense (57.7), leading in scoring margin (16.4), third in scoring offense (74.1), fourth in steals per game (10.7), fourth in three point percentage (32%), fourth in three point percentage defense (27%), second in three pointers made per game (8.6), and second in winning percentage (85.7%).

Nationally, the team is 18th in scoring margin, tenth in three point attempts per game, tenth in three pointers made per game, and 20th in winning percentage. 

Coker is coming off of a 83-57 loss against Lenoir-Rhyne on January 14th. 

Leaders for the Cobras include Shawnteanna Tillman (#0), who is averaging 19.7 points per game and Kamarai Thompson (#20) who is leading in rebounding average with 10.8 per game.

Lincoln Memorial is entering Saturday with a 12-2 overall record, including a 7-2 mark in conference play. LMU is tied for second place with Carson-Newman and Lenoir-Rhyne.

Coker is going into the weekend with an 13-2 overall record and conference record of 8-1. The Cobras is in first place in the SAC standings.
