Lincoln Memorial women's basketball will have their regular season finale as they host the Newberry Wolves Saturday afternoon at 2 pm. It is also Senior Day, where ten seniors will be honored for their contributions to to the LMU women's basketball program:
Lexi Patty,
Asia Barr,
Federica Lagana,
Keiara Anderson,
Alexa Smiddy,
Rachel Early,
Sariya Henry,
Ajalon Gillard,
Maleiya Hill, and
Kamil Collier. The seniors will be honored at approximately 1:45 pm.
The weekend meeting will be the 43rd overall contest between the two programs, with LMU falling in the series 15-7. They have already faced each other once this season, in January of 2026 at Newberry, where the Lady Railsplitters were victorious over the Wolves 65-50. The last time that Lincoln Memorial came out on top over Newberry at home was in November of 2024, where LMU defeated Newberry 62-53.
Lincoln Memorial is coming off of a 72-66 win over UVA Wise on February 25th.
Kamil Collier recorded her 18th double-double of the season as she led in scoring and on the boards with 25 points and 11 rebounds.
Currently, Collier is the team-leader in points with an average of 18.3 points per game, with
Alexa Smiddy and
Lexi Patty following her with 12.9 and 12.2 points per game. Collier is also the team leader in rebounds with 11.1 per game.
In the South Atlantic Conference, Collier is leading in double-doubles (18), second in field goals made (187), third in total points (477), third in points per game (18.3), leading in total rebounds (289), leading in rebounds per game (11.1), leading in defensive rebounds per game (7.3), and leading in offensive rebounds per game (3.8). Smiddy is fifth in the conference in assist/turnover ratio (1.70), second in total assists (97), second in assists per game (3.7), fourth in three point percentage (33.1%), fifth in three pointers made (55), and fifth in three pointers made per game (2.12). Patty is fourth in the SAC in assist/turnover ratio (1.74), fourth in defensive rebounds per game (5.2), seventh in rebounds per game (6.7), seventh in total steals (53), and fifth in steals per game (2.12).
Nationally, Collier is fifth in double-doubles, tenth in rebounds per game, and seventh in total rebounds.
As a team, Lincoln Memorial is second in the SAC in assist/turnover ratio (1.11), third in field goal percentage defense (37.4%), leading in scoring defense (56), second in scoring margin (15.2), third in scoring offense (71.2), leading in three point percentage defense (25.6%), second in three pointers made per game (8.9), and first in winning percentage (88.5%).
Nationally, the team is 19th in scoring margin, sixth in three point attempts per game, ninth in three pointers made per game, and 11th in winning percentage.
Newberry is coming off of a 49-67 loss against Catawba on February 25th.
Leaders for the Wolves include Rickell Brown (#4), who leads in scoring with 15.7 points per game, and Jada Brown (#21) who leads in rebounds with 7.9 boards per game.
Lincoln Memorial is entering Saturday with a 22-3 overall record, including a 18-3 mark in conference play. LMU is in second place in the SAC standings. The Lady Railsplitters were most recently voted #16 in the WBCA Coaches' Poll.
Newberry is going into the weekend with an 13-14 overall record and conference record of 7-14. The Wolves are tied for eighth place in the SAC standings with Anderson.
