Las Vegas, NV - The Lincoln Memorial University men's golf team returns to action March 1–3 at the Las Vegas Desert Classic, hosted by University of Missouri - St. Louis at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada.
LMU enters the week ranked No. 34 nationally in the latest NCAA Division II men's rankings and looking to build momentum after opening the spring with an 11th-place finish at the Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate in Florida. The Railsplitters posted a three-round total of 915 (+51) in their first event of the calendar year, highlighted by a strong individual showing from Harry Dickins, who finished tied for ninth at 219 (+3). Morgan Cain and Edward Mason also turned in steady performances as LMU faced a field loaded with nationally ranked competition.
The Desert Classic presents another major test. The tournament field features several top-25 programs, including No. 3 University of West Florida, No. 4 Florida Southern College, No. 7 St. Mary's University Texas, No. 10 Colorado State University Pueblo, No. 11 University of North Georgia, and No. 13 Dallas Baptist University. Host No. 33 University of Missouri - St. Louis and No. 16 University of Central Missouri further add to the depth of a field that includes multiple nationally ranked contenders.
With desert conditions, firm greens, and a competitive national field awaiting, the Railsplitters will look to take a step forward in their second spring outing. Consistency across the lineup and strong scoring on the par-5s will be key as LMU aims to climb the leaderboard against some of Division II's top programs.
