Harrogate, TN - Lincoln Memorial women's basketball enters the NCAA Southeast Regional Tournament as the #1 seed, facing #8 seed the Lees-McRae Bobcats on Friday, March 13th at 5 pm.
This is the first time that the team as earned the #1 seed in the NCAA Southeast Regional Tournament as the #1 seed in program history. The last time that the Lady Railsplitters earned a spot in the tournament was the 2016-2017 season.
There is a short history between the Bobcats and LMU, as Friday will only be the 12th overall meeting between the two teams, with Lincoln Memorial winning the series 8-3. The last time that Lincoln Memorial and Lees-McRae faced off was almost 10 years ago in November of 2016, where LMU got the 63-50 victory.
Lincoln Memorial is coming off of a 44-52 loss against Coker in the SAC Tournament semifinals, where eventually Coker would become the SAC Tournament Champions.
Kamil Collier recorded her 20th double-double of the season with team-highs 22 points and 11 rebounds.
Currently, Collier is the team-leader in points with an average of 18.2 points per game, while
Alexa Smiddy and
Lexi Patty also average double-digits with 12.9 points per game and 11.8 points per game, respectively. Collier is also leading the team in rebounding average with 11.2 boards her game.

Lees-McRae is coming off of winning the Conference Carolinas Tournament, defeating Chowan in the championship ga,e 67-60. Lees-McRae is going into the game with an 23-7 overall record.
