Harrogate, TN - Lincoln Memorial women's basketball enters the NCAA Southeast Regional Tournament as the #1 seed, facing #8 seed the Lees-McRae Bobcats on Friday, March 13th at 5 pm. 

This is the first time that the team as earned the #1 seed in the NCAA Southeast Regional Tournament as the #1 seed in program history. The last time that the Lady Railsplitters earned a spot in the tournament was the 2016-2017 season. 

There is a short history between the Bobcats and LMU, as Friday will only be the 12th overall meeting between the two teams, with Lincoln Memorial winning the series 8-3. The last time that Lincoln Memorial and Lees-McRae faced off was almost 10 years ago in November of 2016, where LMU got the 63-50 victory.

Lincoln Memorial is coming off of a 44-52 loss against Coker in the SAC Tournament semifinals, where eventually Coker would become the SAC Tournament Champions. Kamil Collier recorded her 20th double-double of the season with team-highs 22 points and 11 rebounds. 

Currently, Collier is the team-leader in points with an average of 18.2 points per game, while Alexa Smiddy and Lexi Patty also average double-digits with 12.9 points per game and 11.8 points per game, respectively. Collier is also leading the team in rebounding average with 11.2 boards her game. 

In the South Atlantic Conference, Collier is leading in double-doubles (20), leading in field goals made (207), third in total points (529), third in points per game (18.2), leading in total rebounds (324), leading in rebounds per game (11.2), leading in defensive rebounds per game (7.4), and leading in offensive rebounds per game (3.8). Smiddy is third in the conference in assist/turnover ratio (1.68), fourth in total assists (101), second in assists per game (6.3), fourth in three point percentage (34.4%), fourth in three pointers made (62), and fourth in three pointers made per game (2.21). Patty is fourth in the SAC in defensive rebounds per game (5.0), eighth in rebounds per game (6.f), ninth in total steals (54), and ninth in steals per game (1.93).

Nationally, Collier is second in double-doubles, 10th in rebounds per game, 11th in defensive rebounds per game, and 9th in total rebounds.

As a team, Lincoln Memorial is second in the SAC in assist/turnover ratio (1.10), second in field goal percentage defense (36.9%), leading in scoring defense (55.1), second in scoring margin (15.1), fourth in scoring offense (70.2), third in three point percentage (32.3%), leading in three point percentage defense (25.6%), leading in three pointers made per game (8.9), and first in winning percentage (86.2%).

Nationally, the team is 22nd iin assist/turner ratio, 17th in scoring defense, 16th in scoring margin, seventh in three point attempts per game, 15th in three point percentage defense, eighth in three pointers made per game..

Lincoln Memorial enters Friday with a 25-4 overall record, and the Lady Railsplitters were most recently voted #13 in the WBCA Coaches' Poll.

Lees-McRae is coming off of winning the Conference Carolinas Tournament, defeating Chowan in the championship ga,e 67-60. Lees-McRae is going into the game with an 23-7 overall record.
