GREENVILLE, SC – The No. 24 Lincoln Memorial University women's golf team sits atop the leaderboard after the opening day of the 2026 SAC Women's Golf Championship at The Preserve at Verdae, finishing Sunday's two rounds at 583 (+7) to take a 12-shot lead heading into Monday's final round of stroke play.
LMU opened the championship with an even-par 288 in round one before posting a 295 (+7) in round two to maintain the top spot. Wingate (595, +19) holds second, followed by Catawba (600, +24) and Anderson (SC) (609, +33) rounding out the current top four.
Individually, Dilyara Bulambayeva has been the pace-setter for the Railsplitters, sitting tied for first at even par (144) after matching 72s in both rounds. Ruby McLellan is tied for fifth at 147 (+3), while Joy Aspetaki and Millie Russell are both tied for seventh at 148 (+4). Reese Rexroat rounded out the LMU lineup on Sunday at 157 (+13).
The SAC Championship continues Monday with the final round of stroke play. The top four teams after 54 holes will advance to medal match play on Tuesday, with the championship match set for Tuesday afternoon.
