HAMPTON, Va. – The Lady Railsplitters (7-8) make their final road trip of the regular-season schedule on Tuesday when they challenge the Division I Hampton Pirates (2-8-1) at noon at the HU Soccer Complex. Lincoln Memorial suffered its fifth 1-0 loss on Saturday on a 93rd-minute goal at Anderson, while Hampton earned a 3-3 draw at South Carolina State on Friday.

Melissa Carpenter lead the team in points with nine apiece. Diaz has scored a team-best four goals and added one assist, while Carpenter has produced three goals with a team-high three assists. Those two players have combined for 42 shots and 22 shots on goal this season.

- After opening the season with seven straight losses, Hampton has turned the corner with the season nearing the finish line. The Pirates are 2-1-1 over their past four matches with wins over Mount Olive and Lincoln University, a 2-1 loss to Delaware State and Friday's 3-3 draw at South Carolina State.
- The Pirates aren't having any trouble scoring as the team is averaging 2.20 goals per game on 12.8 shots per game. However, Hampton has struggled to stop opposing offenses, allowing 3.50 goals per game on 17.4 shots. The Pirates have scored multiple goals five times this season, which includes a 10-0 shellacking of Lincoln University. Hampton has also allowed at least three goals in eight of its 11 matches.
