Nicole Couvertiere has been named the Chi Alpha Sigma Scholar-Athlete of the Week. Couvertiere's abilities on the field have earned her some much deserved recognition, including: Gulf South Conference Softball newcomer watch list (2023) as a freshman, Lincoln Memorial University Newcomer of the Year nominee (2024) as a sophomore, and various Player of the Game/Week awards throughout her junior season. Her academic honors include: National Fast-Pitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-American Scholar Athlete, University of West Georgia Presidents List (4.0 only) (Fall 2022), Lincoln Memorial University A.B.E Scholar (4.0) Fall '23, '24 and Spring '24, NCAA Division II Academic All District Team, and is an Alpha Chi National College Honor Society member.
Her abilities stretch beyond the diamond and classroom, into her community and region. Couvertiere continuously gives back. Her various examples of community leadership include: University of West Georgia College of Education Student Representative, 40 hours + hours of community service 2022-23 with UWG Softball, team took "most community service" award, worked LMU team prospect camp for local youth baseball, worked Clays for kids fundraiser event for children hospital (record donations $73,000), volunteered as an umpire for co-ed slow-pitch softball league at Middlesboro, KY Middle School cheerleader fundraiser, assistant coach for Premier of Athletic Republic Softball organization for 13 total 10-12 year old girls. made lineup, practice schedule, and tournaments, volunteered for local Claiborne County high school and middle school softball teams, volunteered for summer fellowship Church of Knoxville in Kids Ministry (over 20 hours), and she is a member of the SAAC at LMU, representing the softball team.
