Softball Ranked #23 in NFCA/GoRout Top 25 Coaches Poll

Harrogate, TN- Lincoln Memorial softball is back in the national rankings.

After receiving votes for the past two weeks, Lincoln Memorial was dubbed #23 in this week's version of the 2025 NFCA/GoRout Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll. The poll is voted on by the NFCA Division II Top 25 Poll Committee. The committee consists of 16 NCAA Division II head coaches with two representing each of the NCAA's eight regions.

Lincoln Memorial has gone 17-6 to begin the 2025 season. Their most recent action comes in a series split with Emory & Henry, a team that is also receiving votes in the poll. The team is hitting .301 on the year with a .383 on-base percentage and .396 slugging percentage. They have had several other notable results to begin the season, including a win over Mississippi College, who was ranked #12 to begin the season, and a close contest with Trevecca Nazarene, who currently sits in that #12 position in the most recent poll.

Head Coach Ritchie Richardson added this regarding the ranking: "It's nice to break back into the national rankings after an absence in 2024.  Moving forward our focus has to be on gaining some consistency and trying to get better every week.  Very proud of this group though, so far in 2025."

Lincoln Memorial will continue their season on Saturday, March 8th, in Jefferson City, TN for a SAC doubleheader against Carson-Newman.
