Men’s Volleyball Climbs to No. 19 in AVCA National Poll

HARROGATE, TN - Lincoln Memorial men's volleyball moved up one spot to No. 19 in the updated AVCA National Collegiate Men's Volleyball Poll released Monday Jan 12th. The Railsplitters collected 46 points after opening the season 2–0, following home sweeps of King and North Greenville inside Mary Mars Gymnasium.

LMU's rise comes as the national poll continues to feature several opponents on the Railsplitters' 2026 schedule. Pepperdine sits No. 3, BYU is No. 8, CSUN checks in at No. 12, UC Santa Barbara is No. 17, and Ohio State is tied for No. 13. Those matchups highlight a challenging stretch ahead for Lincoln Memorial, including a two-match road set at Ohio State, a neutral-site weekend in Cambridge against BYU, and a late-February West Coast trip to CSUN, UC Santa Barbara, and Pepperdine.

At the top of the rankings, UCLA remains No. 1, followed by Long Beach State at No. 2. The rest of the top 20 includes Hawai'i and Pepperdine tied for third, Southern California (5), Loyola Chicago (6), UC Irvine (7), BYU (8), Lewis (9), UC San Diego (10), Stanford (11), CSUN (12), Ohio State and Penn State tied for 13th, McKendree (15), Ball State (16), UC Santa Barbara (17), Princeton (18), Lincoln Memorial (19), and George Mason (20).

Lincoln Memorial continues its homestand next on Friday, Jan. 16 at 6:00 p.m. when the Railsplitters host Emmanuel University (Ga.) in Mary Mars Gymnasium. The next AVCA poll is scheduled for Jan. 19, 2026.
