Men's Volleyball Achieves First National Ranking in Program History

HARROGATE, Tenn. – For the first time in program history, the Lincoln Memorial University men's volleyball program came in at No. 15 in this week's edition of the NVA/AVCA Division I-II Men's Coaches Poll.

This also marks the first time in AVCA history that an independent program has broken into the national rankings.

The Railsplitters are off to the best start in program history. Sitting at 6-0 overall, head coach John Cash as led the Splitters to key victories early in the season, including a sweeping upset of then-No. 11 Loyola Chicago.

Lincoln Memorial is paced by Dawson Walker and Matthew Gentry. Walker currently leads the nation in blocks per set as the Englewood, Ohio native tallies 1.62 per set and tallied a career-high 11 blocks in the win over King.

Being one of the last two remaining unbeaten teams, the Railsplitters will look to continue their early season success as they welcome Queens on Friday, February 11 before welcoming Limestone to Mary Mars on Saturday, February 12.
