HARROGATE, Tenn. – In exactly one month, the Lincoln Memorial University women's volleyball team will be playing their season opener. The 28-game schedule kicks off with a tournament at Trevecca Nazarene on Aug. 26.
Following an exhibition match against The University of the Cumberlands on Aug. 12, the Lady Railsplitters open up their regular season with two weekend tournaments in late August and early September. LMU will be at the Ray Thrasher Classic at Trevecca Nazarene University on Aug. 26-27. The next week, the ladies travel north to play in the Kentucky Wesleyan Tournament.
Conference play begins shortly after, as Carson-Newman travel to Harrogate on Sept. 6 for the SAC opener. A brief road trip follows as LMU head to Limestone on the 9th and Tusculum on the 13th. Emory & Henry and UVA-Wise come to town the next weekend for Friday and Saturday contests. After traveling to Mars Hill on the 20th, the Lady Railsplitters return home to face Anderson on the 23rd and Newberry on the 24th of September. The month closes out on the 30th, as LMU travel to Catawba to continue SAC play.
Action resumes in early October when LMU visit Carson-Newman on the 4th to play a road game against an east Tennessee rival. Homecoming commences the following Saturday, as Lenoir-Rhyne arrive in Harrogate on the 8th. Following with another road trip, LMU travel to Coker and Wingate on the 14th and 15th. After playing Mars Hill on the 18th, the Lady Railsplitters play in the SAC/Peach Belt Crossover on the 21st and 22nd. Lincoln Memorial return to conference play as they close out the home schedule with games against Tusculum (Oct. 25) and then on Senior Day against Limestone on the 29th. The regular season ends on the road, with LMU traveling to UVA-Wise on Nov. 1 and Emory & Henry on the 5th.
