LMU Athletes Hall of Fame
Hillary Ross was a four-year standout for the Lady Railsplitters from 2000-2004. The Science Hill, Kentucky, native came to LMU following a successful career at Pulaski County High School.
Ross ended her career as the all-time leader in rebounds (1,160), free throws made (408), free throw attempts (579), blocks (141) and games started (112). She also holds the LMU record for career double-doubles with 32.
Her accolades were numerous. She was named to the All-Gulf South Conference First Team in 2003, All-GSC Second Team in 2004 and was the runner-up for GSC Freshman of the Year in 2001. She was also named GSC Player of the Week on several occasions. Ross was named to the TSWA College Basketball All-State team in 2003. She was a member of the team in 2000-01 that had the highest Team GPA in the nation and is the only female of three LMU athletes to surpass 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds for their career. Ross was also the 2001 LMU Newcomer of the Year and the 2003 Female Athlete of the Year.
